Hi. Thought of returning the pretty garment but return process EXTREMELY complicated.
REASON – The centre front opening on the bodice was badly & crookedly placed, curving to the left at the bottom – out of centre line about 1.5cm.
A gold stripe had been doubled over as there is a blue ‘texta type’ mark beneath it.
Cheesecloth lining poorly attached in those areas.
RESOLUTION – As I sew v well, (daughters silk wedding dresses, my silk outfits formal gear etc etc) I have (almost) fixed it myself. Curvature still exists slightly because of incorrect ‘cutting’. Unpicked, tacked, added required seam binding, hand stitched front seam together & removed buttons to correct the line.
Altogether – took 2.5/3 hours.
