Wear & Care

Linen

The Fabric:

Linen is a natural fiber, like cotton, but it takes longer to harvest and make into fabric, as flax fibers can be difficult to weave. The fibers are extracted from the plant and stored for long periods of time to soften the fibers.

Washing:

Washable linen garments should be turned inside out before washing to prevent surface fibers from breaking. The clothes can be hand-washed or machine-washed on the gentle cycle using warm or cold water.

Drying:

Linen garments should be air-dried. If ironing always be sure to use the correct temperature setting when pressing linen.

Notes:

It’s also worth noting that the fibres in linen may shrink on first wash. If the linen fabric hasn’t been pre-washed it may shrink when you first wash it.

We advise you follow the care instructions that are sewn into the side of each garment.
